FlirtBeat - meet people ;)

Our prototype release of flirtbeat.com has been very educational for us. It seems most people find the whole process of making and publishing their profile too complex. We've had over 600 people sign up, yet there are less than 30 published profiles! Because of these, the entire website is currently being upgraded to improve usability, design and layout. Many things will be vastly simplified and the drag-and-drop layout editor will become much easier to use. In addition, we're introducing a better (and easier!) method of editing the styles on your profile. When the new update goes live, we'll be turning the traffic back on, so expect a lot of new signups at that time.

The response so far has been great. We've been open just a few days and lots of people have been signing up to try this newfangled thing out. I've been patching leaks as fast as I can so if you experience any problems for more than a few days, be sure to let me know so I can fix them.

Also, I've got some new features coming in shortly, including commenting on each other's profiles, displaying friends lists, a discussion forum and beyond that, some more stuff you can put on your profile, live chatting with other members, etc. I'll keep you guys posted as it rolls in.
